LAREDO, TX – A beautiful South Texas morning was the setting on Tuesday, Mar. 26 for the grand opening of HOLT CAT’s new Laredo facility. Guests numbering in the hundreds showed up to be a part of the ceremonies and to enjoy a great barbecue lunch.

The 24,000-sf LEED gold-certified facility, built with many environmentally friendly features, is the latest of the ongoing modernization and expansion of HOLT facilities.
    JK Baxter welcomed guests with opening remarks and introduced Allyn Archer, president and COO of the company.  Mr. Archer told of the many years the commitment Holt has made to the Webb County and Laredo area community and used this opening as another example.
    Dignitaries at the event included Raul Salinas, mayor of Laredo, and Robert Mlakar, Bienvenidos Committee of the Laredo Chamber of Commerce.
    During the program, HOLT CAT and the Caterpillar Dealer Excellence Fund also presented the Laredo Community College with a $4,000 grant check.
    Mr. Baxter invited local government officials, the chamber, and HOLT executives, including sixth-generation Holt family members, Corinna Holt Richter and Peter John Holt, to cut the ceremonial ribbon.
    The construction and design team for the project included SpawGlass, OTO Architects, L&G Concrete, Speedway Erections, Metro Electric, A/C Technical Services, Chavarria’s Plumbing.
    HOLT CAT sells, rents and services Caterpillar machines, engines, generator sets and trucks in a 118- county Texas territory. –bd
